''Through all this Job did not sin nor...blame God''. Job 1:22
God called Job "...the greatest...among...the people of the East" (Job 1:3 NIV). Have you ever wondered why? Job's life personified integrity under fire. He had ten children, incredible wealth, vast property and lots of servants. Then, without warning he lost everything, including his children and his health. How could anyone endure this without becoming bitter? Yet, "Through all this Job did not sin nor...blame God". Instead he asked, "...Shall we...accept good from God and not...adversity" (Job 2:10)? What was Job's secret?
1) He recognized God's right to control events in his life. He understood that anything God permits is ultimately for the best. Hear what Job said, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him..." (Job 13:15 KJV). "I know...You can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted" (Job 42:2 NIV).
2) He did not blame God for his problems. He refused to curse God like his wife instructed him to do. He kept his faith in the face all his adversity. Hear him: "My flesh may be destroyed, yet...I will see God...and I long for that moment" (Job 19:26-27). Perhaps you are going through times of adversity. Perhaps you have lost everything. Are you blaming God or are you maintaining your faith and integrity like Job.
Stay above...always.
