A FEW WORDS FROM GARY

Dear friends,

"Food, food and more food."

I know you are sick of listening to us ranting about food and wine pairing. Every week we address this subject in all seven classes on Saturday. The most common question we ask before we give you a recommendation is "what food are you having with this wine?"

This is the beginning of the holiday season. What does that mean? Food, food and more food. Imagine spending all of your time and money preparing great appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts only to have a bad taste because of a poor wine pairing. Serving an oaky Chardonnay with any Thanksgiving food would be bad. Serving a Cabernet Sauvignon with turkey would ruin the turkey. Oyster dressing with ANY red wine would be a disaster.

I want to thank everyone for participating in last week's "Holidays" wine show. We tried to find you wines that would be perfect with holiday foods. Tim is recapping this list of wines for you. If you don't want our help, then ask for our list. Don't undermine all of your hard work and expense this holiday by choosing the wrong wine. We are actively trying to get our state senators to pass a law:

"If you fail to pick the right wine with your foods this holiday, you should be arrested."

This is serious folks. Enhance your holiday this year by making the right wine choices.
