Dear friends,
"A Reason for Everything."
People that work with me and are closest to me know that I do everything for a reason. The
reasons may be a little 'out there', but I always have a reason. Damn Virgos.
At Lukas we have one reason why we buy features or stacks of wine. Is the decision to buy this
feature good for our customers? No other reason EVER enters the decision making process.
Reasons like:
Is this wine on sale by the supplier this month, OR
We will be the only store in town to have this wine, OR
The supplier only made enough cases of this wine to sell to fine wine shops.
None of these reasons ever influence our buying decision to feature a wine. Our only reason to feature a wine is whether it's good for our customers. Does this wine over-deliver (taste vs. price) for our customers? Is this wine a great food pairing? Does this wine fill a particular customers' needs, i.e. gift item, party wine, impress a friend or a neighbor, etc....
YOUR JOB as a customer is simple: Find a wine specialist, point to a feature and ask "what is the reason we bought this?" I believe you will be pleased with our answer.
Thank you and Go Cardinals!
