Hello all wine lovers!
This Saturday, Kaitlyn is taking over the tasting room! We are going to be tasting our way around the world of Rosé! We are so excited to show you some of our favorites of the season! To all of you skeptics, trust us, not all Rosés are created equal nor are they all sweet! If Rosé does not catch your eye, Leah from Golden Barrel and Scott from Terra Firma will be here pouring some of their delicious wines and beer! We just have one question for you. Is it Saturday yet?!!?!?!?!

Taltarni Brut Tache

"The Non-Vintage Brut
Tache is a delightful, well-priced sparkling wine composed of 52%
Chardonnay, 41% Pinot Noir, and 7% Pinot Meunier. A dash of red wine
liqueur is added to the finished triage wine at disgorgement to create
the salmon pink color. The nose offers rose petal, peach, apricot, and
wheat thin scents leading to a sparkler with a steady, persistent stream
of small bubbles and red berry and nutty flavors. On the palate the
wine is dry and refreshing, with a long, clean finish."

Colterenzio Lagrein Rosé
An ideal summer wine, Lagrein Rosé makes an excellent aperitif and a superb partner for cold sliced meat, smoked or fried fish, pasta with white meat. It is full bodied with vibrant acidity, and unashamedly fruity and refreshing!
|
Bastianich Rosato
An intensely colored rosato filled with plums, rose petals, violets and orange peel aromas. A medium weight on the palate with soft fruit, especially white plums, that leads to clean mouthwatering acidity. The acidity is fresh and crisp making it a delight to drink with just about anything. A clean finish ensures a refreshing experience that is actually closer to a light red wine than most other wines of its color. We recommend it on its own as an aperitif or with the smoky, sweet and spicy dishes or cuisines. |
Bouvet Brut Rose
This brilliant coral sparkling rosé is dry, crisp and aromatic with
ripe, succulent red berry flavors and refined herbal nuances of Cabernet
Franc fruit on the palate ending in a clean, mouthwatering finish.
|
Enotria Dolcetto Rosato This wine is deep magenta with inviting fruit flavors and aromas
of blackberries, raspberries and dried cherries that mingles
with undertones
of sweet vanilla oak and earth. The finish is complex and long
lasting.
It is a wine that can be enjoyed young but has the depth to
age for
several years. It is excellent when paired with barbecue, spicy Indian or Mexican fare, as well as fresh fruit!

Cline 2009 Mourvèdre Rosé In the wonderful tradition of rosés found in Portugal, Spain, Italy
and France, this wine served well-chilled is perfect on its own, is
refreshing at a beach picnic and marries extremely well with food such
as chicken Provencal, salmon or a Sukiyaki dish.
Remember Rosé is the perfect breakfast wine!
