Meet Ty A. Photographed by: Becky Seitel

Ty is a charming, talkative red headed, blue eyed boy born in April
1997. Ty loves playing video games and watching cartoons and also
gardening. He is currently trying to grow a watermelon patch. He loves
to be outdoors working in the garden but is not into athletic outdoor
games. Ty is a giving child and likes to take pride in the things he
does. He likes to draw and his favorite subject is science.
Ty says that he wants to learn how to swim and enjoys the beach. He
enjoys all you can eat buffets and is not a picky eater. He loves to be
on the go. He thinks that he may want to be a mechanical engineer or
scientist when he grows up. He is very environmentally conscious and
believes we should all recycle and take better care of our planet.
Ty needs a strong family who can be consistent with limits and
rules. He needs support in the school setting, socially and needs a
family who will help him reach his goals in a positive way. He needs
help learning to be responsible for his actions and to give respect in
order to get it. He needs a family who will understand his losses and
help him work through those in a positive way. He needs connections
that are life long and a family willing to stay with him, even through
the bad days.

Meet Tanika, Ta'Kyla, Ta'Nyah. & Ta'Nyll Photographed by: Tina Richards

These children are extremely attached to one another and are very
protective of each other. They are very bright little girls who
desperately need a permanent home. They need a family who is willing to
parent all four and help them experience the joy life has to offer.
Tanika born January, 2002, is a very smart and independent young
lady. She enjoys doing her sister's hair and playing with baby dolls.
She is currently at grade level and does well in school. Tanika needs a
loving family who is willing and committed to continuing her
therapeutic treatment to help her address her troubled past and to
address some problem behaviors that have developed as a result.
Ta'Kyla, born February, 2003, is a very pretty and sassy young
lady. She is the most outgoing of the sibling group. She is extremely
protective of her sisters, and wants nothing more than a loving family
to call her own where she can also be with her sisters. She enjoys
playing outside and spending time with her sisters. Ta'Kyla loves to be
praised and does not like to do anything wrong. She is developmentally
on target for her age.
Ta'Nyah, born in April 2004, is a very beautiful and happy little
girl. She enjoys coloring and drawing, as well as playing with her baby
dolls. She would love to have a family of her own where she can feel
accepted and that she belongs. She has had some behavior problems which
will need to be addressed by a loving and dedicated family.
Ta'Nyll, born May, 2005, is a very special little girl. She has
been diagnosed with Shaken Baby Syndrome and consequently has Cerebral
Palsy. She is in need of a very loving and devoted family who is both
willing and able to continue meeting her medical needs. She is
currently in speech/swallowing therapy and receives OT/PT therapy
through the Elementary school. She receives special education classes
through the school as well. She also attends local cerebral palsy and
hearing clinics offered through rehabilitative services. Ta'Nyll is
such a happy baby and she loves to be held. She can brighten any room
with her smile, and loves to receive attention from others. Her sisters
are very protective of her, and are aware of how special she is. Watch Ta'Kyla

Meet Tachia & Jachia Photographed by: Becky Seitel

Jachia and Tachia are identical twin boys of
bi-racial heritage born in May 1997. The boys rely on one another for
entertainment, support and guidance. They spend a great deal of time
together.
Tachia is typically introverted but is branching out and
interacting with peers in his neighborhood. He likes to watch cartoons,
play video games and ride his bicycle. Jachia is more outgoing. He
likes to play organized sports, ride his bicycle, play outdoors and
play video games. Jachia is currently playing little league football
and participating in Boy Scouts. Both boys enjoy going to camp and
attended two camps this past summer. The boys have expressed an
interest in a family that is active and likes to do outdoor activities
such as fishing, hunting, and swimming. Jachia and Tachia do not know
how to swim well and would require lessons.
Jachia is in the 7th grade and Tachia is in the 6th grade (He was
retained last year). Both boys are receiving special education
services. Their reading and math skills are on a 2nd-3rd grade level.
They participate in afterschool tutoring to improve their reading and
math skills.
The placement team is looking for a two-parent or single female
home for these boys as Jachia and Tachia have demonstrated that they do
better in a home with a mother. The boys need a family and services
that will help them work on attachment issues, increase their coping
skills, past abuse and behavioral issues. A family that can help them
with their self-esteem and learning age-appropriate responses to
frustrations and disappointments is exactly what these boys need.
These boys will do well in a home that provides structure, patience
and support in a nurturing environment. Their forever family will need
to be able to provide lots of hands-on parenting. With this duo, there
will never be a dull moment!!!
