Meet Jordan Photo Credit: Arik Sokol
|

Jordan, born January 2001 is an extremely friendly, affectionate little
boy. He loves to share his toys and everything else and he generally
gets along well with everyone around him. Jordan has a smile that
lights up the room. He is very polite and well-mannered.
Jordan is the 2nd grade. He interacts well with his peers and
teachers but needs some assistance with academics and concentrating on
his work. Jordan struggles with expressing himself due to a language
delay. When he is anxious or preoccupied he tends to become distracted
and has a difficult time focusing.
Jordan tends to keep his worries to himself and tries to actively
avoid topics he prefers not to discuss. Jordan loves to play with
action figures/heroes, he loves to color, and to play on the
Playstation. He likes being outdoors and just being occupied with
anything. Jordan is truly a delightful child.

Meet Michael Photo Credit: Studio A Photography
|

Michael, born March 1997, is a charming, smart and funny little boy. He
is affectionate and playful. He is expressive verbally and is open to
diverse settings. He is great at word search puzzles and he loves video
games, tic-tac-toe and Scrabble. Michael can beat almost anyone at any
game he plays! He is very decisive and focused!
He responds well to positive reinforcement and likes to be given
space. He needs family and friends that know how to re-direct him when
needed. Michael is maturing and learning how to follow rules and give
respect. He is a bright, interesting child who is fun to be around and
teaches something to every adult who interacts with him. He loves to
eat out and aspires to be an actor one day.
Michael would benefit greatly from a home that is calm and
structured. He responds well to structure and does very well with
routines. Michael handles change best when it is explained to him and
he his given information before the change occurs, giving him time to
prepare.
Michael sets goals for himself and responds to a reward system that
is in place. It is felt that Michael would do better if he is the only
child in the home. Michael wants very much to be adopted and has stated
that he wants "a family that will always take care of me". He also says
he would like a family with a dog!

Meet Brook Photo Credit: Leah Shaw
|
Brook born in January 1992, is an energetic teenager. She enjoys
spending time with her friends, dancing, skating, staying up late
talking with friends or watching movies, and sleeping late. She is a
bright young lady, but does not always apply herself. Brook is
interested in being a police officer or a pre-school teacher when she
graduates.
Brook is friendly and outgoing; however she is shy around new
people. She is very talkative at times and is very polite to adults.
Seeing Brook interact with small children is absolutely amazing. She
gets on the child's level by sitting on the floor and playing games
with them. If Brook happens to pursue a career in education, she will
make a wonderful teacher.
Brook has a close relationship with her brother and her adoptive
family needs to be willing and able to help them maintain their
connections.
To inquire about Brook or any of our Heart Gallery Children please visit them on our
website and complete the inquiry form under their portrait.

Meet William, Josiah & Isiah Photo Credit: Stephanie Fisher
|

William "Iry" born, in June, 1996 is in the band at school and likes to
hang out with his friends. He likes playing video games. He is very
intelligent and enjoys math and science. William is working on
following the rules both at school and at home. He needs a family that
can help him learn to control behaviors so that he doesn't get in
trouble at school. He is very much a big brother and sometimes acts as
a "father" and needs the chance to be a young boy.
Josiah "JoJo" born in November 2000 enjoys playing sports, spending
time with his brothers and drawing. He is very talkative and loves to
talk about playing with cars and sports. He is working on being
respectful to adults as well as respecting himself. He is focusing lots
of attention on his academic achievements right now. We had snow
recently in Alabama (a rare occurrence) he was very excited telling his
worker about the snowman that he and his brothers built. He really
liked seeing the snow fall down and making snowballs.
Isiah was born in August 2003 enjoys sports and playing with his
brothers. He is very nice and fun to be around. He is working hard and
making some improvements at school.
These children are very bright. They love each other, although they
fight like brothers. Josiah and Isiah play well together and like the
outdoors where they race their toy cars. William is laid back and likes
to watch t.v. They are cute children and always have a smile on their
faces.
