Dear Friends & Supporters:
|

Heart Gallery's 1st Annual Fotos, Frames & Fun silent auction & party was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone who came out and made it so. We surpassed our goal, raising close to $20,000, which will enable our organization to continue to recruit families for Alabama's waiting children. These children desire and deserve a permanent loving family. This event and our other fundraising efforts will allow us to remind these children that they are not forgotten and that we will continue to strive to find them a family to call their own.
This event would not have been possible without our event sponsors; Steve Arnold of White Arnold & Dowd, P.C., Suzanne Ashe, Burke Harvey & Frankowski, Total Skin & Beauty Dermatology, Southland International Trucks, Ted's Garage and Liz McCormick.
We enjoyed the delicacies from our food supporters Franklin's Homewood Gourmet, O'Carrs, Demitri's BBQ, The Veranda on Highland, DiVinci's, Sam's Supersamwiches, The Happy Catering Co., Pastry Art Bake Shoppe, Creative Cuisine, Angels Cakes, Edible Arrangements, The Great American Cookie Company, Bogue's, Buffalo Rock, International Wines, & Birmingham Budweiser. Gumbo provided by The Veranda Baby Bites provided by Pastry Art
Music kindly provided by Neil Couvillion and Jeremy Snyder

Meet Brittany Photo Credit: Bill Crow
|
Brittany, born January 1995, is currently in the 7th grade. She has
been in foster care for 4 years. She is a typical teenager who enjoys
being around her friends and says that she spends most of her day
hanging around them. She says that she likes to learn about history and
learn about things that happened before she was born. She loves music
and is a talented singer. She would like to be a successful singer when
she grows up. When asked to choose 3 words that describe her, she said
that she is "motivated, outgoing and curious." She desires a permanent
family where she is an "only" child and around horses, if possible.
To inquire about Brittany or any of our Heart Gallery Children please visit them on our
website and complete the inquiry form under their portrait.

Meet Jamal Photo Credit: Studio A Photography
|

Jamal, born June 1995, is an active young man who is likeable and
energetic. His favorite subject in school is spelling. He likes playing
video games, basketball and football. Jamal says he wants to be a
wrestler or an engineer when he grows up.
Jamal is a lovable child who needs to feel accepted. He needs a
family that will demonstrate understanding if he tests them. Jamal
responds well to laughter and laid back parenting. He has an
introspective nature that sometimes needs coaxing. Routine and
structure are important to Jamal but at times needs flexibility in that
routine. Jamal thrives with lots of one-on-one attention but also loves
being around other children and would be okay to have siblings in the
home. He even plays well with children younger than himself. Jamal
looks forward to the day that he will not move again and finds himself
in his forever home...forever!

Meet Dillan Photo Credit: Stephanie Fisher
|

Dillan, born November 1993 is a delightful, personal young man who will
make a positive impression from the first meeting. He is a very
intelligent, insightful and mature young man. Those who speak with him
forget that he is only 15-years-old due to his impressive intellect,
and his wide array of interests that include learning French, playing
piano, and keeping abreast of current events.
Dillan makes good grades and is a model citizen. He loves to play
on the computer, read, play his keyboard and talk to friends. He
frequently chooses these activities over watching TV. His goal is to
attend college and work in a field that offers travel opportunities.
Dillan says that his friends are very important to him that they help
him when he has a problem and keep everything in perspective.
Dillan is very spiritual and his hero is Jesus, because He died for
him. Dillan is an overcomer, who maintains a positive outlook on life,
as well as a healthy self-esteem and confidence level. Dillan wants a
family who will love him unconditionally, accept him for who he is and
support his academic and career pursuits.
To inquire about Dillan or any of our Heart Gallery Children please visit them on our
website and complete the inquiry form under their portrait.
