Hi everyone - I just wanted to pass along that I am following in my grandmother's entrepreneural footsteps and have just started my own web-based business. With my youngest turning five and starting Kindergarten this year, I decided I've loafed around enough and need to focus on some type of business! You are receiving this email because one of your friends, family or business associates thought you would like this information. An e-Newsletter will follow shortly. The main site is a self-serve type travel website comparable to Expedia, Orbtiz, etc. Prices are usually the same or better. The airline, hotel, etc carriers pay my company the built-in associated fees instead of paying the commissions to sites like Expedia because there is no outside marketing/advertising. My business is purely word-of-mouth. I would like to think you would rather have an individual small business make money instead of handing it to the big corporations! I am taking classes and learning more everyday. With the economy down, you would think people aren't taking vacations. The truth is, the travel industry is still busy, busy, busy - the types of travel are just changing. Instead of week-long trips to Napa Valley, people are finding it cheaper to take a 5 day cruise! My site can help you plan a vacation within a reasonable budget, without cutting the fun stuff. The booking engine is pretty simple. It works exactly like Expedia and Travelocity. You can search for rates for airfare, hotels, car rentals, cruises.....it's great for business travelers too!
Some of the other options are concert and sporting event tickets, attraction tickets like Disney, send flowers, apply for your passport, set up group traveling, plan a destination wedding, schedule fishing/hunting excursions - even buy a car!

A couple of things to remember:
The way I can offer you the same pricing (or lower) as Expedia and Ticketmaster is because there are no advertising costs associated with my site. It is all word-of-mouth. The money saved on advertising is passed on from the airline carriers, hotels, cruise lines, etc to referring travel agents.
If you book with another on-line site, I may be able to still get you an additional discount. If you let me know within 24 hours of your booking on another site, I can enter your reservation into my system and it will sometimes allow me to offer you an upgrade or the site will match the rate up to 110%. So, even if my site is not the cheapest, I may be able to still find you a better deal or a couple of perks through my agent portal.
You can also see my personal website at www.thekendalcompanies.com. It showcases several business services that I offer including catering, virtual assistant and an online store. It is still a work in progress so keep an open mind!
Lastly, as I said before, this is purely a word-of-mouth business. The only way I can succeed is if you use, and recommend, the site. Please give it a try - all you can do is save money.
