Pickled Okra Tea Sandwiches
I know it doesn't sound very appetizing, but form my experience, I have learned if it sounds like an odd recipe, then it's usually great! This recipe always brings in the crowd...
One loaf plain white bread
Two jars of HOT Pickled okra
8 oz. Cream Cheese
Cut the crust off each slice of bread. With a rolling pin (or smooth drinking glass) roll each slice flat. Spread a thin film of cream cheese on one side of the bread. Place okra at the top of the slice and roll into a log. Apply another thin film of cream cheese to the outside of each log. Slice each log into individual circles. Arrange on a pretty silver tray lined with leaf lettuce. Serve and watch your guest swarm! |
