Pathways to Academic Excellence
On Thursday, May 12th, twenty Latino families completed our month-long Pathways College Prep Series. The series provided parents of high school students with vital information on the college process and what they need to do to ensure their kids are college ready. The workshop series discussed GPA goals, the SAT, ACT and Regents exams, Advanced Placement and Honors courses, college visits, the college application, college financing, scholarship opportunities, college essay focus, and teacher recommendations. The Pathways program is an important part of our efforts to increase the number of Latino students who enroll and graduate from college. For more information on Pathways, please contact Jessica Guzman.
Pathways is being made possible through the generous support of Time Warner, the Altman Foundation and City Council of New York.
