Last email blast we told you all about the HUGE clearance sale we were running and this week it's still going strong! We had a huge rush on the store, and people copped much of what we had left in the old stock, but we still have lots still here to sell! Remember, this stuff HAS to go because we will be relocating our headquarters later in the year. Whatever is not sold from the told stock will get tossed eventually, and we would hate to do that so definitely check out our items and the ridiculous prices in our Clearance Section! 73 items still on sale!
We also want to announce that we have expanded our inventory to take in much more of the raw, underground Hip-Hop music you all love. Customers have been asking us to stock more of a variety of music so they can buy all their Hip-Hop from us and only us from now on, and we listened. Vinnie Paz - Season of the Assassin
For almost two decades now Vinnie Paz has easily been the most
recognizable and galvanizing figure in Hip Hop's underground. His work
with Jedi Mind Tricks and Army Of The Pharaohs has been hailed as

El Michels Affair - Walk On By: Tribute To Isaac Hayes
One of the greats has passed and Truth & Soul has compiled a EP of
Isaac Hayes covers to pay tribute to one of the most talented and
innovative songwriters of the twentieth century. One of the creative
forces behind Stax Records, Isaac Hayes has left behind a body of work
that includes legendary film score, Shaft, classic albums such as Black
Moses and Hot Buttered Soul, and of course, "Chocolate Salty Balls". El
Michels has had a history of covering Isaac Hayes compositions and no
one does it better then them. The EP features El Michels Affair doing
reinterpolations of Shaft, Walk On By, Run Fay Run, Hung Up On My Baby,

The Roots - How I Got Over
To call it "long-awaited" or "eagerly anticipated" would be the
understatement of the year - as hip-hop's most daring pioneers the Roots
release their 9th studio album (and third for Def Jam Recordings) on
June 22nd, HOW I GOT OVER. The album, which takes its name from Clara
Ward's gospel classic (made popular by Mahalia Jackson), is the Roots'
first new release since joining Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for a full
time gig as the show's house band.
Grammy Award winners the Roots characterize the songs on HOW I GOT OVER
as "depicting the everyman's search for hope in this dispiriting
post-hope zeitgeist".
The lead single from the Roots new set will be "Dear God 2.0." The track
re-imagines the Monsters Of Folk song "Dear God" and features MOF
members Yim Yames from My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis
from Bright Eyes and M. Ward.
HOW I GOT OVER also includes two appearances from Grammy-winning soul
man John Legend: "Doin' It Again" a re-working of his track "Again," and
"The Fire," an original song written for the Roots' 2010 Olympic
concert performance.
The Roots and Legend have developed a strong musical bond, as the group
has produced John's entire upcoming release Wake Up, which shares the
socially conscious themes of the "How I Got Over" set and is comprised
of late sixties/early seventies covers.
Other guests on HIGO include Joanna Newsom on "Right On," Phonte Coleman
(Little Brother, The Foreign Exchange), Blu (Blu & Exile), Peedi
Peedi , Mercedes Martinez, Icelandic alt-pop singer Patty Crash,
