Signs of Transformation in University Park

New Crosswalks Installed South of UA Campus

Crosswalk

Through a collaborative effort with the City of Akron, UPA has invested in the installation of new and highly-visible crosswalks along and across Exchange Street south of the UA campus.  The "Abbey Road" style crosswalks are geared to encourage more walking and biking while enhancing safety.  The more
visible crosswalks will help drivers recognize the high volume of people walking and biking and will encourage those same people to use the crosswalks.  UPA invested over $11,000 in the materials that City crews applied
