Dear Members & Friends,

Last chance to sign up for golf

There's only one week left to sign up for one of the most fun events of the year. If you're a businessperson looking for a day of relaxation, but with some important business mixed in, this is the perfect event for you.

Our 21st annual Golf Classic will be held on Monday, Oct. 15 at Sequoyah Country Club in the Oakland hills. This annual, all-day tournament brings together some of the top business leaders in the city for lunch, a shot-gun start, and the 19th Hole Awards Reception.

Golfers can register as individuals for $325 or in sponsor foursomes at the $1,750 Chamber Challenger or $2,500 Corporate Sponsor levels.

And, should you wish to get your brand on the course but don't have any golfers in your office, hole sponsorships are available for as little as $325.

For reservations and sponsorship information, visit www.oaklandchamber.com or contact Amanda Medina at the Chamber, (510) 874-4800, ext. 319 or at amedina@oaklandchamber.com. See you on the green!

Go A's

For the first time in six years, the Oakland A's have reached the American League playoffs and still have a chance for the division title if they beat the Texas Rangers tonight and tomorrow. Not picked to be in the playoff picture this year, the A's played their best ball in the league since the All-Star break. Let's cheer them on to even more victories!
