Dear Members & Friends,

Chamber-sponsored debates - A success

Nearly 300 people have attended our first three debates to hear the candidates for City Attorney and Council Districts 1 and 3. Candidates have shared how they will direct policy for Oakland! The Chamber's Debate team of Paul, Eleanor, Amanda, Hank, Lana and Jennifer are managing the process extremely well! Click here for the upcoming schedule.

Special thanks to our Public Policy Council panelists who assisted in developing questions and attended to deliver those questions - David Tucker, Jill Broadhurst, Kerry Hamill, Kim Winston, Julie Hadnot, Greg Chan, Jessica Reynolds, Dan Cohen and Barbara Leslie have all done a great job bringing out useful answers from the candidates.
