State of the Schools Address
The future of our city depends upon the health of our public schools, which is what makes the State of the Schools address by OUSD Superintendent Tony Smith so critical. Dr. Smith will provide updates and highlights of his vision and strategic plan for OUSD - "Community Schools, Thriving Students" on Monday, May 14 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Scott's Seafood Grill and Bar at Jack London Square. Please RSVP to http://tinyurl.com/OECBusinessForum or contact Jennifer Caban at JCaban@oaklandnet.com or at (510) 238-3450.
The Chamber spoke out on behalf of the Superintendent and OUSD progress in a recent editorial in the newspapers of the Bay Area News Group, including the Oakland Tribune. Read the editorial here.
