The New Creative Coverings Identity

Integris Marketing, of Reno, contacted me to create a dynamic script rendering of "Creative" for the new graphic identity of Creative Coverings,
a company that provides nationwide linen rentals and sales for weddings, corporate celebrations and other special events.

The top four designs, at left, were part of the first phase exploration; the final art is shown in the teal-colored panel; and the former identity is the bottom image.

When lettering words in script, the letters "C", "r" and "v" present legibility challenges, both for their shapes, and whether or not you connect them with adjacent letters. So, I tried several options for this project. Fortunately, "Creative" is an easy word to recognize, so we had some flexibility. But with foreign words or a word that might be misconstrued for another, you have to mind your "p"s and "q"s (it's fun to throw in an arcane typography reference, every now and then).
