The new look of TLC
TLC is a line of good-for-you snacking products, under the Kashi natural foods banner. Kashi asked Addis Creson, of Berkeley, California, to update the brand and packaging for the TLC line.
The top design at left was the existing brand, and the design on the third row was a new concept sketch by Addis Creson. They weren't sure whether the client would prefer an evolutionary refreshing of the existing brand, or would embrace the new concept. So I was asked to refine both.
The second row shows two of my examples of subtle refinements to the existing brand.
Then I focused on smiling face design. I loved the concept, and wanted to add as much warmth and friendliness as I could. The bottom design is the final, and it's always a joy to encounter it in grocery stores.
