Redesign of the Heart to Heart
Brand


Kashi is a standard bearer in the natural foods industry, and they recently asked Addis Creson, their design firm for many years, to update the packaging for Heart to Heart cereal.

The top design at left was the existing brand, and Kashi felt that it didn't carry enough friendliness and approachability. I also felt that the interaction between the heart symbol and the nearby letters was awkward.

The middle panel shows examples of my exploration. The first design is a close-in study, where I worked to better integrate the heart with the letters. In the samples below that, I explored more casual, "heart-felt" solutions.

The bottom design is the final, approved art, and will soon be showing up in a grocery store near you.
