Put your Holds on Hold

Going on vacation and worried about missing a book that's on hold?  No need to worry! Suspend your holds before you go away.  That way you won't lose your spot in the holds line.  It's easy.  All you need to do is:

  • log in to your library account
  • click on my holds
  • put in the date that you'd like to suspend the hold until
  • click on "Update My Holds"

The hold will automatically be re-activated on the date you selected.

For more information about this new feature, please ask at the information desk at any RPL Branch.

No Girls Allowed (Dogs Okay)
Scab McNally (real name: Salvatore Wallingford McNally) has a twin sister named Isabelle. Scab's mission in life is to annoy his sister and make her life miserable. Of course, she keeps a list of all the naughty things he does each day and presents it to their parents at dinnertime. Scab really wants a dog, and tries to get Isabelle's help to convince their parents that it's a good idea.  However, Scab's latest invention is a stinky perfume that he calls "Isabelle's Smell." and he is using the money he gets from the perfume sales to try to buy a dog. When Scab realizes that Isabelle isn't very happy at school - no one is sitting with her at lunch, she doesn't talk to people - he starts to realize that something is the matter. Will Scab be able to help his sister and figure out what's wrong? Borrow this book and find out.
