Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding as we transformed the Brighouse library into the International Living Room for the 2010 Winter Olympics.  More than 46,000 people from around the world visited our Living Room over the 17 days of the Games.  Now that the celebration is over, things will be getting back to normal.  Regualr operating hours resume at Brighouse starting Monday March 1st, the parking lot re-opens March 6th, and daily storytimes start back up on March 7th.

Lunch Lady
"What does the lunch lady do when she's not dishing out lasagna?" the kids wonder... Apparently she's a secret crimefighter with fishstick-nunchuks, a lunchtray laptop and lots of other gadgets to battle bad guys.
In the first book in this new comic book series, everyone's favourite teacher, Mr. O'Connell calls in sick and Lunch Lady immediately suspects foul play - Mr. O'Connell hasn't missed a day in the last twenty years. There is also the strange substitute teacher that gives the kids tons and tons of homework, claiming that Mr. O'Connell has told him to do so.   Will Lunch Lady be able to figure out what's going on?  Borrow this book and find out.
