The library is excited to be in the heart of Richmond's O Zone celebration site during the Olympics, and the Brighouse Branch is gearing up to greet visitors from around the world.  You may have noticed several changes as we make room for new displays and exhibits.  The library will still be open to serve you and help you pick out books and movies, but there will also be lots of other things to see and do inside the library, including:

Ralphy the Rhino - Have your picture taken with a life-size Ralphy performing his favourite winter sports.

Canadian Cinema - Come and enjoy National Film Board movies and cartoons for kids and adults

TV Lounges - Get a front row seat and cheer on your favourite athletes or teams while watching the Games on our large screen TVs

BookCrossing - the world's largest book club, where you read and release your books into the wild.

Alienated
How far would you go to fit in at your school? For Gene Brennick, he would gladly reveal the secret of a beloved high school counselor and start an intergalactic war if it means acceptance.
Gene and his best friend Vince run the Globe, a weekly tabloid about the aliens who are disguised as humans and live among us. No one believes their stories of course, and Gene is desperate to gain the respect of his classmates. Even though several of the aliens featured in his paper have mysteriously disappeared, Gene decides, against Vince's will, to run a story on the nephew of the evil alien Vargon. Has he gone too far?
And what is happening to him? His fingerprints have been falling off one by one...
