Snowman Winter Celebration Stories

The Christmas and Hanukkah books are now available at all four RPL Branches.  Come and pick out an old classic, or find a new favourite to share with your family during the holidays.

Check out these great reads:

A Christmas Carol - Dickens' classic tale about a miser who learns the true meaning of Christmas really comes to life in this new picture book with illustrations by Brett Helquist.

Hanukkah oh Hanukkah - A family of mice celebrates the eight days of Hanukkah in this illustrated version of the holiday song.

Santa Duck -  When Nicholas Duck, wearing a Santa hat and coat, goes looking for Santa to tell him what he wants for Christmas, all the other animals mistake him for Mr. Claus.

Santa's Little Helper - During a game of hide and seek Snowball, an arctic hare, hides in Santa's sleigh.  He falls asleep in the nice warm sleigh, and when he wakes up, the sleigh is flying through the sky!  Santa needs Snowball's help on the most important night of the year.

Groosham Grange
David is in big trouble. His parents are furious at him for getting expelled from school and are sending him to Groosham Grange - an isolated boarding school far away from home. Not only does the school have no vacation days, strange things seem to be happening there. One of the teachers never comes to school when there is a full moon. Another is completely wrapped in bandages. At night, all the students mysteriously disappear. What really is happening at Groosham Grange? Borrow this book and find out!
