I cannot adequately express my gratitude to everyone who so graciously responded our last emails alerting you to the unfortunate reoccurrence of cancer, after I had overcome the first bout back in 2009.
I'll say it again, I thank God for all your concern, the prayers of thousands around the world, and the financial support sent, enabling us to keep
afloat in an uncertain sea!
I can literally feel the strength of all the prayer being offered up on our behalf bearing me up like a ship on an ocean! I am so grateful for all your support!
Many have been on touch asking for an update, so here is the latest.
It is nearly two months since I was told I had six to twelve months of life left, but you would never know anything was wrong with me! I feel fit and strong! There is no evidence of fatigue, weight or appetite loss, as is to be expected in this situation. I attribute that directly to prayer. Thank you again!
After a follow-up from my endoscopy, which proved to be clear, thank God, we are now in the process of getting a biopsy of the lymph nodes that are affected. Another doctor said that it is not conclusive that they are cancerous. The biopsy will tell us either way.
That might be followed by an ultrasound endoscopy to see if there is any cancer deeper in the tissue around the esophagus.
I will let you know when I get the results. In the meantime, please continue to pray that all the cancer will completely disappear!
Recently a friend wrote on my Facebook page, "Jeff, sounds like you are burning the roads up and not letting any grass grow under your feet! Love it." I replied, "Yep, burnin' up as long as I'm standin' up!!!!
So, I'm still refusing to slow down! I'm going to just keep pushing on regardless, as long and as hard as I can, whether that'll be six months, two years or twenty years!
