The Great GenNet Gathering in Gettysburg, PA

On September 24th and 25th GenNet members and guests from several states gathered at Gettysburg, PA for our most impactful meeting yet...!!!

GenNet is all about 'Advancing the Front Line...!' There's no better place than Gettysburg to brand our young members with what it's really like to be on the frontline. Fifty thousand men were lost over three days during the Civil War.

Abraham Lincoln gave perhaps the greatest speech of all time (The Gettysburg Address) shortly after the battle, and later testified that he
Lincoln
spontaneously received Christ there, partly due to the lingering anointing that remained for some time.

Today, there is an ongoing battle for the heart and soul of America and a new 'front-line' is Gettysburg - and it's not for the faint hearted!

On Friday we had our first meeting in the oldest church in town, built in 1822, now called the GAR Hall, which was originally a Methodist Church until around 1910.

Our meeting was one of the first 'church' services in the last 100 years! This went from 7pm until 12:30am the next morning! Everyone present was activated in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including prophecy, words of knowledge and words of wisdom.

The walls of the church were lined with photos and paintings of all the ministers who served here for nearly 200 years. They were like 'a great cloud of witnesses' (Hebrews 12), there to see this ground taken back for the Kingdom.

On Saturday we had an in-depth tour of the battlefield with John Wega of the US Christian Commission, an expert on local history.

We had communion together where General Lee commanded the battle from 'Seminary Ridge.' This was the most moving time for all, with many tears flowing.

Here are testimonies from some of the young people who were with us:

"The [GenNet] weekend trip to Gettysburg was truly an amazing experience! It was great to learn about the heroes of faith during the Civil War and stories of the US Christian Commission: of there courage, duties and selfless devotions. These Kim Payneheroes served on the battlefield without rifles or guns, but came to the aid with bibles, bandages, and the love of Christ. To learn all that was truly heart felt and I was deeply burdened because I haven't been giving my all for Christ. So I take a stand right now in the name of Jesus because, I want to be like the Christian Commission who goes out on the front line of battle to preach the good news too all men; because, when all is said and done, I want Jesus to say 'I'm proud of you my good and faithful servant.' Kimberly Payne"

Cassandra Ruis"So much could be said about the amazing things that John [Wega] and his team [the US Christian Commission] are doing over in Gettysburg. The experience personally for me was eye opening and motivating. I got a whole new concept of what it really means to be on the frontline, to be prepared everyday to witness by carrying tracks or a bible, ready to give away at any moment. The work John and his team does everyday and the opposition they face, shows what it really means to be on the frontline - to live a life of sacrifice for God. The big question for me was, 'Would I go? Would I sacrifice everything, even my life to be like the Christian Commission and witness to those dying on the battle field?' Cassandra Ruiz."

"Gettysburg was incredibly life changing in such a deep way. For me personally, being as itGabby Aq was also the weekend of the beginning of my second year of interning, the entire trip was very pivotal. Just to grasp the importance of where we were and who had once stood there during the Civil War and then to embrace who we need to be in this time was just mind blowing. The most precious moment for me was when we finished communion together on the battlefield, dedicating ourselves to God and the work He has for us. All in all, the entire trip was filled with amazing downloads from heaven and just incredible moments to cherish and draw from in years to come. God did a lot of deep significant things and whispered many things to my heart. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of this amazing event! It blessed me immensely in more ways than you will ever know! Love, Gabrielle Aquilino."

Grant Reitzel"The GenNet Gathering in Gettysburg was a fundamentally moving event. The idea of the front lines in ministry became quite tangible to me on the historic battlefield on which we met. The presence of the Father was evident as some of the most genuine leaders I have ever met, were moved to action and love together. I was challenged and encouraged by this group of stellar Godly people. Grant Reitzel."

"The GenNet Gettysburg Gathering was a life transforming event. It was a monumental and historical experience to gather in the the GAR Hall, where African Americans first worshiped with Caucasians. It was such a blessing to be part of praying and prophesying over each person who was there. The family who is continuing the work of the Christian Coalition were such an inspiration. Their dedication and willingness to confront people with the truth against great opposition was a challenge to my family and team, who resolved to carry that same dedication in our territory. The tour of the battlefield was especially inspirational, knowing the civil war soldier's sacrifice to pay the price for the freedoms we enjoy today, including my marriage, that would never be possible were it not for the victory of the Union. I am now ready to be a much more dedicated soldier of Christ to the call of God to set captives free throughout the world. Joshua Kennedy"
Andrew Knechel
"I approached the weekend not expecting anything. God completely blew me away. COMPLETELY! Wiped out any doubts about why I should be there. God cleared up a lot of questions I had about potential, my life and my calling. I felt right at home with the other GenNet members and absolutely look forward to the next times that we meet. Thank you everyone for creating my home away from home. Andrew Knechel"

The impact of this weekend will be one that everyone there will never forget for the rest of their lives. This is the heart of GenNet; to prepare this emerging generation for what's to come!

"Change only happens if it get's from your head to your heart. Knowing what needs to be adjusted will only be owned if your heart buys into it. Otherwise, any head-choice will be no better than a New Year's Eve resolution, made to be broken soon after making it. Let your heart flow with God's dealings!" Jeff Beacham

Invest in Their Future Today!
When I was a young minister, I learned much more from several spiritual fathers who spoke into my life, than I ever learned from Bible college!

As parents, a large part of our effort and income in life goes towards our children's education. Yet considering the godless agendas that have infested our education system, we should wonder what they are receiving!

GenNet is totally committed to passing on a spiritual inheritance to the next generations and is worthy of your financial investment. Every dollar given to GenNet goes towards the future of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

"All Gave Some But Some Gave All"
America is a land of paradoxes! On one hand, its people ardently seek humanitarian fulfillment... On the other hand, America's dollar driven popular culture has to take a lot of responsibility for the downward slide of western morality. There's a call to cross the Line!
