Health and Ministry Update
Blood Clots Down Under, Increased Odds, GenNet
|
Greetings!
Melva and I have just returned from an amazing time of ministry and catching up with family and friends in Australia and New Zealand. It is so exciting what the Lord is doing there. You can read more about this in the February FMI Report.
Health wise, I was able to have regular check ups down under, as required by my doctors here in America. The blood clots that were found in January posed no problems for us while I was away.
Soon after our return two weeks ago, I had a scheduled visit to my cancer surgeon. He was very pleased with my progress and estimated that my chances of surviving the next 5 years remaining cancer free have increased by 5% to 75-85%. Let's believe that your prayers will increase those odds to 100%! By God's grace, we have been able to rise to another exciting level in our ministry; both in anointing and in presentation. There's nothing like looking death in the face to give you a new understanding of urgency and authenticity! We have also been developing some stunning graphics, animations and video clips as a part of my preaching. This combination is having a major impact wherever we go.
In the next few weeks we are planning on launching GenNet (Generations Network). When I was struggling to hold on to life in the middle of last year, I realized that all I have learned over nearly 30 years of ministry and ministering in over 6000 churches would be lost if I passed away!
It was then that I resolved to form GenNet, a consolidation of what I have already been doing organically and relationally for some time. That is mentoring the next generation of emerging leaders and passing on the baton, so that all I have learned will not be lost.
Join with us in this new and exciting phase for FMI and consider investing in the launch of GenNet and its ongoing purpose to ensure a future for our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!
Prayer Points: I deeply appreciate all your prayers to keep me cancer free! Please continue to pray that these clots will disolve with no further problems and for total restoration of my health and the launch of GenNet!
Apart from prayer, it is crucial that you continue to stand with us financially as we work hard to get our ministry back up on its feet.
