Health Update:
A Zombie No More!, Not Another Procedure, Back at Church |

 Greetings!,
First of all, I want to thank you for your concern, love and support for me over these past eight months.
We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback about how people appreciate us keeping them informed of my progress along the way through our Health Updates.
Well, it's been nearly three weeks since my last dose of chemo and I am beginning to feel 'human' again instead of being a zombie! Strength is slowly returning and I'm feeling quite 'normal,' whatever that may be.
Last week I had an endoscopic dilation (as if I need another medical procedure) to try and widen the part of my throat where they joined my stomach to the last bit of esophagus, just below my neck.
Since the surgery, I have had trouble swallowing, which sure takes the enjoyment out of eating. I may have to to repeat this several times over the next few weeks to get my throat wide enough to let food pass better..
Yesterday, I was able to attend a Sunday service at our own church down here on the Jersey Shore. It was wonderful to be able to worship corporately and to hear the word.
There really is nothing like a vibrant, life giving church service. It beats any other form of gathering in my opinion. This was just the second time I have been able to attend church this year and I sure appreciated it!
Prayer Points: Pray for a total restoration of health and strength over the next 6 months and beyond. Pray for God's provision to increase for this next phase of picking up ministry again.
It is a real encouragement and inspiration to know you are there for Melva and me. Continue to stand with us as I walk through this to victory! We have quite a way to go yet, but knowing you are there is a great comfort.
