On March 14th, more than 100 supporters, family, friends, and alumni partners came together at Bank of America's beautiful Terrace Room, to celebrate eight remarkable organizations completing their year as a Fair Chance partner. Our annual Graduation Ceremony was a chance to spotlight their compassion, commitment, and dedication to the children that they serve. It was also an opportunity to showcase their steadfast dedication to building up their organization so they are as strong as they are innovative and inspiring.
"We are very honored to have partnered with such amazing leaders and organizations who provide hope, inspiration, and opportunities for young people. Graduation marks not the end of their time with Fair Chance, but the beginning of their role as vibrant members within our alumni network."
-Maria T. Nagorski, Executive Director The evening allowed Fair Chance to honor Melissa Hook, Director of the Justice Grants Administration (JGA) and Victim Services. For three years, JGA has helped Fair Chance better serve dozens of organizations dedicated to helping DC at-risk youth.
As Graduation ends one year of extraordinary work, we continue forward taking a moment during the ceremony to officially welcome our nine new partners as they begin their 2012-2013 Fair Chance year.

Each Year, Fair Chance honors one of its most committed supporters who have helped us grow, expand our services, and fulfill our mission. We were proud to present this award to Melissa Hook on behalf of Justice Grants Administration (JGA) and Victim Services. "When I discovered Fair Chance after taking over the JGA grants system, my first thought was... can I clone you? In a time when a lot of nonprofits are shrinking or disappearing, Fair Chance is helping essential organizations thrive and expand." - Melissa Hook Director, Justice Grants Administration and Victim Services |
