Dear Fair Chance Community,
Fall is here! Which means school is back in session and opportunities abound at Fair Chance. Our Fall partner application cycle closed last week. As we are in full review mode, I can share that we are thrilled and inspired by the diversity and innovation of organizations that have applied. The only downside to our application cycles, is that we continue to receive three times as many applications as we are able to accept. Look for our new partner announcement later this Fall.
Get on your dancing shoes and join us at the 5th Annual Butterfly Bash. You can buy your tickets today for the event on October 14th and join us in celebrating the work of Fair Chance. Join Honorary Chair, Katharine Weymouth, Co-chairs, Julie Maner and Megan Rupp, Fair Chance partners, board, and staff for an unforgettable evening.
I wanted to also share an exciting new partnership with Community Wealth Ventures, made possible by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Community Wealth Ventures will be providing us with executive coaching and technical assistance to help Fair Chance position itself for future growth.
Lastly, Fair Chance is on the move. By mid-November, Fair Chance will be relocating to our new offices at 2001 S Street. Once we're settled, look for our Open House Invitation in early 2012.
As always, thank you for being a continued supporter of Fair Chance. We couldn't do the work we do without you in our corner.
-Maria Nagorski, Executive Director

"Celebration" is an oldie but goodie, by legendary R&B group Kool & the Gang. This song aptly describes the recent M.O.M.I.E's 10th year summer camp closing ceremony. By God's grace, we capped off our decade long journey with a knee slapping JAM, because we've truly been blessed to positively impact over 8,000 inner city children using our "three pronged educational change strategy". This includes....read more
