Greetings!

We at Software Downunder hope your third quarter of the financial year is winding up well. (O.K. - sorry if that was a rude jolt that the year end is creeping up on us!) It now seems timely to remind you that good reports at this time of year can help to avoid unwanted surprises at the end of June.

While Creative Manager provides a broad range of standard reports that have been compiled to meet the needs of our user base, the ability to design your own reports to meet your individual needs is an extremely valuable tool that shouldn't be overlooked.

Getting reports that are to some degree either irrelevant or not sufficiently specific can 'lose' the reader. So, don't put up with filtering through unwanted data, tailor it yourself!

Our standard reports cover financial, traffic, scheduling needs etc., but there will always be a preference for a different layout, additional detail, specific grouping, for example, that may require a new report designed accordingly.

Ask your team if they are getting the information they need and, if not, make sure they know how to access it.

Under  'Staff - Reports - New Custom Report' the data choices are offered, then the layout and security selections, the fields options, and any conditions defined.

Your new report can have the selected fields grouped, totaled, specified by date range etc. then titled, saved, and made available to nominated staff with the required security access.

So, give it a go - it's not so scary!

Please ask us for a refresher session on report writing or any other features of the software that perhaps are not being fully utilised.

Sincerely,

Rondelle Taylor

HELP!  - Tip of the Month

Always keep time zones in mind when organising meetings: If your client is on the east coast and you're on the west, avoid planning a brainstorm session for 5 p.m. your time. Instead, put your client's schedule first.

About Us

Our director, Rondelle Taylor, has ten years experience as the financial controller of a medium sized agency, handling a wide variety of project types and sizes.
Recognising the problems of not having an adequate system for project management, profit tracking, and the need for integration of separate systems (excel, word, and myob etc.) led to the current consultancy role.
A detailed analysis of available software solutions has enabled Software Downunder to recommend a system to best fit your needs.

About You

You need the software solution that suits the size of your business and the complexity of your projects. If your projects are simple and you currently have less than 10 people handling them, your software requirements may be simple also. Speak to our consultants about alternative software packages for the best fit.
