Special Letter from Ms. Yvonne

Dear Knock On Wood Family and Friends,
As the co-founder of Tappers With Attitude, Inc. and Knock On Wood Tap Studio, I have had the great pleasure of bringing the art and joy of tap dance to thousands of dancers, their families, and audiences in the DC area, around the country and even around the world for more than 20 years. It has been my passion for most of my life and still is today.
Although I "retired" from KOW two years ago, I have remained on the Board of Directors, participating in the difficult decisions to place Tappers With Attitude Youth Ensemble on indefinite hiatus, and most recently, to close the studio in Silver Spring due to financial difficulties.
I fully believe in the saying, "when one door closes another one opens," and I am writing to you today to tell you about the next open door. We have been looking for smaller and less expensive space, and among the possibilities we are considering is a dance studio, ready to move into in Takoma Park, in exactly the same building in which we started over 16 years ago.
The Board of Directors is working on all aspects of this next step, but most importantly, if this is going to work, we are again reaching out for your support!
Click here for information about our Summer Sunday Tap Classes at DC Dance Collective on July 24. We need you to sign up for classes and show your support. We need you to spread the word to your friends, family, schools, churches, neighbors, etc. And if you are unable to attend this special class, please consider making a donation.
Donations can be made out to:
Knock On Wood Tap Studio/Tappers With Attitude, Inc. P.O. Box 8276 Silver Spring, MD 20907-8276
Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you in our new studio very soon.
Yvonne Edwards
