We're so excited to be participating in our first ever
Flash Mob, with our pals from Urban Artistry and Liz Lerman Dance Exchange's Teen Exchange. You can join in, too, with your friends and family members! Come on out to the DITA Opening Party at Busboys and Poets on 5th and K St., Thursday night April 15, where the fun includes a sneak peek at a couple of the Flash Mob dances. Then, go home and learn the choreography yourselves!
You can go to
YouTube, or you can join us at KOW on either Saturday, April 10 or Sunday, April 11, from 3:30-5:30, to learn the choreography (free!). Then join us at the Amnesty International stage, Ellsworth Fountain, on April 25, where the mob activity will take place at approximately 3:20 pm.
We'll also be participating in a live performance of all Flash Mob dances at the DITA closing event at Strathmore on May 2nd.

Looking ahead a bit, we invite you to celebrate
National Tap Dance Day with us at
Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Sunday, May 23, at 6 pm. Our theme this year is "Tapping into Our Family Tree." The show will honor some of the roots and branches on our tap family tree, and will feature friends and "family members" who pursue other forms of percussive dance. We expect Urban Artistry to be in the house, as well as percussive dancers of other "persuasions," including Flamenco, Indian, and Irish. Like all Millennium Stage shows, is also streamed live. To see past TWA performances at Millennium Stage,

And of course, it's never too early to get your tickets for our fabulous year-end concert,
"The Percussion Discussion," June 19 and 20, at
Atlas Performing Arts Center.
