 DANCIN' DAYS TAP CAMPS
AT KNOCK ON WOOD
There are still a few spots left for our final week of camp - August 10-14 - so don't delay! Call the studio by Thursday, August 6 to be sure there is still space.
 SPECIAL BOLLYWOOD/BHANGRA CLASSES AT KOW!
Sunday July 26 & Sunday August 9
This class was a huge hit during Dance Is The Answer week, so we're very excited to announce that the Sapan Institute will be back to teach 2 classes over the summer. SAPAN Bollywood Fusion combines the intensity of Bhangra and the charm of Bollywood into one amazing 60-minute session. Students will start with an introduction to classic Bhangra moves and move on to a choreographed routine from a recent Bollywood movie. Classes are open to all ages and skill levels - no dance experience is necessary, just come ready for a fun workout! Click here to register ($5 pre-registration discount!)

Monday, September 14 and end on Saturday, December 12; you can check out the schedule online. Please be sure to look at the schedule carefully

In addition to taking part in the Chicago Human Rhythm Project's Youth Tap Ensemble Conference, we're also performing in two CHRP concerts!
Come see us perform Ayodele Casel's "Audrey" with the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble at Pritzker Pavillion on the lakefront, in beautiful Millennium Park, Sunday, August 2 at 6:30 pm. FUNDRAISING NEWS

 We cannot say it too often or too loudly: THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our recent matching campaign!
Eight-four people, all fans/friends/family of TWA and KOW, donated $5,417. Our anonymous TWA alumni family generously donated a dollar-for-dollar match, meaning that this campaign raised an astonishing $10,834 towards our operating support!
We thank everyone for their timely donation - it means the world to us! We're pleased that so many of you used our easy "Donate Now" button, found in every newsletter and on our webpage.
Current economic realities haven't changed much - we're still strapped for cash, and we'll accept donations at any time. If you are in a position to help us continue to fulfill our mission, we'd welcome your donation. |
| SCHOLARSHIPS for KOW Students |
Tappers With Attitude, Inc. is thrilled to partner with The Jim and Carol Trawick Foundation to offer scholarship support to students of KOW. Recipients of scholarship support will receive funding for up to 1 year of classes at KOW.
Dancers between the ages of 9 and 17 as of September 1, 2009 are invited to apply for support from the Trawick Taps! Scholarship Program for classes at Knock On Wood Tap Studio. Applications must be received at Knock On Wood Tap Studio by Friday, August 14, 2009. The KOW scholarship winners will be announced by September 9, 2009, at the outset of the 2009-10 dance season, which begins September 14, 2009. Any prepaid tuition will be refunded if you receive a scholarship.
