SUMMERTIME... and the Tappin' is Easy...

Like you, we're looking forward to summer - we plan to take time for fun in the sun, attending tap festivals and visiting with far-flung tap buddies... and snoozin' in the shade!
But don't let your tap shoes grow dusty - our 4-week July session is the perfect way to secure some summer TapHappiness! Our autumn class schedule will be available soon, so plan ahead and enroll early, 'cuz if you snooze, you just might lose!

KOW STUDENT SHOWCASE The excitement is palpable - little feet are flitting and flapping, bigger feet are finessing fine syncopations. Everyone's working on smart choreography, and polishing up their performance skills. It's nearly time for Knock On Wood's 16th Annual Student Showcase... and you don't want to miss it! The annual showcase is always a blast - watching students of all ages and skills exhibit so much TapConfiDance is really fun. The Showcase is Sunday, June 7 at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School at 2:OO pm. Come join us and support your family and friends!
KOW SUMMER TAP CAMPS: 3 FUN-FILLED WEEKS
Act now, registration deadlines for Dancin' Days summer camps are just around the corner.
- July 13-17 (register by June 13) - July 27-31 (register by June 27) - August 10-14 (register by Aug. 3)
NEW PHOTOS! Knock On Wood had a great week participating in Dance Is The Answer 2009, from April 23 to May 3. Our students and visitors had a blast trying out Irish step dance, South African Boot and Pantsula dance, Indian dance, Irish Ceili dance, and Bollywood dance. Check out the photos in our new online album.
FALL SESSION 2009 will begin on Monday, September 14 and end on Saturday, December 12. The brochure, with the schedule of classes and registration form, will be available on July 1 on our website and in the studio. (Please remember that we no longer send this information out by snail-mail!) |

CATCH THE BUZZ... TWA celebrates the close of its 18th season with two dazzling concerts at Atlas Performing Arts Center, June 13 & 14. Our award-winning youth ensemble welcomes special guests including vocalist Dana Bynum and guitarist Myrna Sislen. We're thrilled that 3jazz trio will be appearing with us once again and look forward to a fabulous weekend. This is TWA's last major performance this season, so be there! (Photo by Enoch Chan)
TWA Auditions: Wednesday, June 17 Our Junior Company has room for a few new members! We encourage serious intermediate-to-advanced level dancers, age 10 or older by June 17, to come on out and show us what they got! The process is painless, and fun. Newly accepted company members, like existing company members, are eligible for scholarship assistance. Pre-registration is required; the deadline is June 13, 2009. (Photo by Sandy Mayer)
