This year's Pie Contest will feature pies which contain any kind of fruit in the recipe.
Prizes will be awarded to Best Pie Baked by a Male, Female and Youth in addition to Most Unique Recipe, Best Crust, Best Appearance and Best Overall.
A select number of the delicious homemade pies will be auctioned, while the remainder will be available for purchase. Best of luck to all contestants!

Hoover Auditorium Steps
The Fall Festival will open its entertainment series at 1 p.m. with Tony Schaffer and Noah Heyman. This pair of young singer/songwriters from Sandusky, Ohio will perform a dynamic array of music including songs from The Beatles, James Taylor and Simon & Garfunkel.
The entertainment will continue at 2 p.m. with a show by magician Greg Carson. Carson specializes in making his performances unforgettable. His magic combines comedy and mystery, guaranteed to generate laughter and excitement.
Musician Lance Horwedel will close the Fall Festival entertainment series at 3 p.m. He will bring his guitar and love of classic rock to Lakeside once again. His repertoire includes music from Crosby, Stills & Nash, Fleetwood Mac and other groups of the 60s and 70s.

Lakeside's Orchestra Hall will premiere "Evan Almighty" as this year's Fall Festival Family Movie.
Everyone's favorite funnyman Steve Carrell is at his hilarious best as junior congressman Evan Baxter, whose wish to "change the world" is heard by none other than God (Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman). When God appears with the perplexing request to build an ark, Evan is sure he is losing it. But soon mysterious deliveries of wood and tools are being dropped on his doorstep, animals of every size are flocking to him two by two, and his self-absorbed life goes from overnight success to almighty mess! It's a great time for everyone.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in several fall-themed activities throughout the afternoon.
Activities such as Pumpkin Decorating and Cookie Decorating are fun for children of all ages.
Fall Festival arts and crafts projects include constructing a Pine Cone Birdfeeder, creating Fall Magnets or designing Paper Plate Masks.
Other games and activities available throughout the afternoon include the Fish Pond and Face Painting.
