| Greetings!
It's been another couple of CRAZY busy weeks at Angel Acres - but that is the norm around here! LOL!
We have had almost 4000 bales of hay donated to us by 3 different, wonderfully kind families!
Big thanks to all of our volunteers who braved injuries, illness, heat, humidity, one silly rescue director & some seriously weird bugs and much more to help us move the hay into a donated storage barn!
Some of these volunteers showed up super early, some showed up after working all day, and on and on....we so appreciate their kindness and help!

Well, I have to say, that Drew Johnson was totally awesome! I don't just mean that his work mucking stalls was fabulouso (but it was lol) or the grooming job he did on Stanley Bead was amazing (but it was) but that he was truly an awesome person!
He is following his passion, volunteering to help others, using his physical and computer abilities to help charities across the nation. We were honored to have Drew here today, he will be back tomorrow to volunteer again, and we will surely miss him when he moves onto his next state (don't worry we already have dibs on him if he does 48 By 48 The Second Round) or something...lol...

Chase Community Giving
The top 200 charities on the contest closing date of July 13, 2010 will qualify for a Chase Community Giving grant.
Each person can vote 1 time for each charity, and has a maximum of 20 votes (so you can vote for 20 different charities). No multiple voting, no hovering over the computer to vote each day ...your ONE vote could help us win MUCH needed funds!
According to their website, 1 charity will receive $250K, 4 runners-up will receive $100k, 195 others will receive $20K!
