Greetings!

Happy Sunday!

It's a new month here at Angel Acres and we wanted to update you on the happenings at the rescue. But first...

We still need more hay;  its our biggest expense as we go through about 16 bales of hay each day to feed all of the rescue horses.  Additionally, we feed grain  and haystretcher for special feeding needs, like Bandito.

We have set up a hay fund specifically for hay and we have a link on the left for anyone who has extra hay that they would like to donate to us.

If you'd like to make a donation for hay, no amount is too small, just click the Network For Good button below and write "hay" in the designation box. Actually, Lesley will be here with her second donation of hay 25 bales in about an hour!

Have a fanastically wonderful weekend,

The picture shown above right, is him today, he is now battling a skin infection. It is very similar to rain rot, but more severe. He will, more than likely, lose all of his fur in the affected area...a large area unfortunately. His face is also losing fur...at least he is in fairly good spirits and we are giving him a lot of love.

Be sure to check out his bathing video by clicking here.

He will recover and become the amazingly gorgeous horse he once was. You can see what he looked like one month BEFORE being given away by
clicking here ...we were shocked to see this picture and it really took us a few minutes to grasp that it was the SAME horse.

We Need A Manure Spreader!
UGH!!! Our Spreader Has Broken...again...sigh...

Well, If anyone has an extra manure spreader laying around that they might want to sell PLEASE let us know. You can email me anytime by clicking here.

We have repaired it over and over for the past 6 years, it's a circa 1938 model and we are unable to repair it this time.

We thought about doing a manure spreader fundraiser...but my oh my...the fun people would have with that...ssssooooooo....we thought we would just ask! LOL!

We need a ground driven manure spreader and can make minor repairs if anyone has one that needs some work and may want to consider donating.

:o)
