Bandito - Saved From Living NIGHTMARE! |
| Help him recover!
The owner of this poor gelding lost interest in him and his friend ("Gee", also a gelding) when he got a girlfriend (not kidding). He then said he had no more money to feed them, yet could make the 30+ mile trip to hang out with his new girlfriend.
So, while his horses literally starved to death - Gee did not survive, he starved to death next to his friend - he was out playing around with some chick. This does not make us happy...as a matter-of-fact it makes us angry.
Bandito (his harrowing arrival story is here) was left in the barn with his dead friend for 6 weeks!!! No food, no water, he was drinking mud and urine to survive.
This is just one of the most disgusting things I have EVER seen done to a horse...ever. I don't know how this person (using that term loosely) sleeps at night.
Bandito's web page is here and I will be updating it tonight with the most recent pictures. He's only been with us for 2 days so far...
On a happy note...Janis Galatis has authorized us to sell copies of her coloring book: My Best Friends Have Always Been Horses to benefit Bandito.
For a $5 donation we will send you her 16 page horse coloring book (you can see some of the pictures in the book on our blog) You can send a donation via paypal or mail a check to Bandito's Fund at:
