Paws LogoWe are excited to announce that additional help is on the way for the area's feral cats! Beginning Thursday, January 28, the Humane League will team up with PAWS to offer two additional spay/neuter clinics each month. The cost to have a feral cat spayed or neutered through the clinic is just $10.00.  This cost also includes a rabies vaccination and ear tipping for identification purposes.

Former PAWS President and current volunteer, Christine Arnold, says, "These clinics are intended to help the HLLC reduce its backlog and maintain a high level of responsiveness to the community. The HLLC is the first and only shelter in our area to follow the true TNR philosophy by not killing feral cats as a means of "managing" their populations. PAWS, its board and the Spay Neuter Committee will continue to provide as much support as possible to the HLLC so that it succeeds in this effort."

The clinics will first work to help "catch up" the waiting list that the Humane League currently has for its existing clinics. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact the Humane League at spayneuter@humaneleague.com or call (717) 393-6551 ext. 302. Please note that we are currently receiving over 30 requests per day for appointments and it may take us up to a week to return your call/email.
