They're Best Friends Forever and They Need a Home Together

"But they're pitbulls...!"
Mama Mia and Domino are pitbull terrier mixes. However, don't pass them by just because you have heard negative things about their breed! Did you know that Helen Keller owned a pitbull? Did you know that a pitbull was the most decorated canine hero from World War One? In addition, pitbulls consistently score higher on temperament evaluations than beagles and golden retrievers. Pitbulls are playful, smart, and loyal dogs who can be great companions, depending on what type of dog you are looking for.  For more information about whether or not a pitbull might be the right match for your family, visit www.badrap.org.

Domino and Mama MiaDomino came into the shelter with his BFF Mama Mia. From sleeping beside each other to playing together, these two dogs have come to depend on each other and now they are depending on us to find them a home where they can stay together. We know that it is a lot to ask a family to adopt two dogs at the same time. However, we are confident that there is someone out there who can give this dynamic duo the home that they deserve! Both dogs are three years old and are pitbull mixes; their former owner said that Domino is a Pitbull/Basset Hound mix, if you can wrap your head around that one!  They are housebroken, up to date on their vaccinations, and fixed. Domino and Mama Mia can both be a bit Domino and Mamashy when they first meet new people, but once they are out in the shelter's play yard, they have relentless goofy fun-and you are welcome to join the party! Once they get to know you, Mama Mia and Domino will soon be right by your side, wanting attention and giving you doggy kisses, because that's the kind of dogs they are-full of sugar and spice and everything nice!

If you are interested in adopting Domino and Mama Mia, please come visit them at the Humane League or email dogadoptions@humaneleague.com for more information.
