UN Llamado Urgente a la Solidaridad Hola mi "Lindo Tigre", hoy 13 de Julio cumples tus 17 años, estáscursando el 3er Año Técnico en la escuela Media N° 3, actualmente bailas salsa con el grupo maravilloso del C.A.J. (Centro de Actividades Juveniles) dirigido por Ivan Farias y Graciela Pellegrini, desde chico venis participando en las presentaciones del Centro Folclorico "El Homero" el cual dirijo con orgullo.
Mi joven, Mi niño, has sufrido de Miopia y Astigmatismo, y a mediados del año pasado ante quejas tuyas de que vo veias bien, te chocabas con cosas en el camino y te extraviabas de noche, consultamos al Dr. Pomponio de tres Arroyos, él mismo te detecto una descapacidad visual denominada "Retinosis Pigmentaria", siendo la perdida de campo visual y disminución de la visión nocturna, la cual va en aumento y si no se la detiene a tiempo puede provocarte una seguera total. Que torpeza la mia, pensar que te decíamos torpe a vos, a vos que tras que lo padecias venías sufriendo con tus pies de uñas encarnadas, y con esos mismos dedos te chocabas todo al paso, si te habran costado lagrimas y sufrimiento. Ahora trato de comprenderte y no me alcanza, porque lo que tenes, lo tenes y la rabia e impotencia que uno ciente por aquellos que no comprenden tu situación, que todabia no estas ciego, pero si no lo frenamos lo podes estar, que esto no es un capricho, cuando a uno le disen que aca no hay nada para hacerte y en Cuba nos dan esa pequeña luz de ilusión de hacer algo por vos, que sos sangre de mi sangre, mas vale que lo voy a hacer, lo voy a intentar, y tengo la fe muy bien puesta en Dios y en aquellas manos Maravillosas de la solidaridad que desde el primer momento nos estan apoyando,TE JURO, lo vamos a lograr. Ya que hay mucha gente que nos a dado una mano muy grande, algunos aportando desde moneditas o parte de sus jubilaciones, otros con cosas materials y de nuestra ciudad y de muchas partes del Pais. Se han realisado Festivales, espectaculos a nivel Americano y Mercado des Pulgas, como asi también se esta organisando un concurso de pesca. Una Fundación "Amiga" nos donó el pasaje de ida y vuelta a Cuba para que podamos viajar, pero esto NO alcanza ya que nos está faltando el importe de la hospitalización, Tratamiento y Operación = 7.880,00 cuc (moneda cubana) esto se hace dificil y como nosotros somos trabajadores humildes nos está costando mucho trabajo. Por este motivo te pido que tengas fe que entre todos lo vamos a lograr. Espero sepas entenderme sos aun muy joven y deseo que sigas disfrutando de todas las actividades que desarrollas en la actualidad, pudiendo ser útil en el futuro a nuestro Pueblo y a aquellos que te necesiten, devolviendo con creses y experiencia por lo vivido en suma a lo que la gente a echo por nosotros. Bueno me depido de vos y espero que pases un muy feliz cumpleaños con tus amigos y seres queridos y no te lovides que lo mejor de tu vida está por venir. celebrated The Grand Opening of
ROMULO Y MARGO in the new studio of Chicago Tango Academy
We attended the grand opening of Romulo and Margo's brand new tango studio. We chatted briefly with our hosts as the guests began to arrive. Later, we observed the dance teachers working with their students. It was admirable to witness their dedication and involvement. Romulo and Margo received us cordially and made us feel at home. Not only did we personally experience their warm reception but we saw that they gave a personal welcome to everyone who entered.
It was an impressive sight, watching the guests enter the studio. Carlos Favre  with his notable presence gave the party the musical touch that we were all waiting for; the air was vibrating with beautiful tangos that could move even stones. And then, the guest parade continued: Daniel and Ramona followed by Burak and Maria with her daughter. Ray Barbosa made a triumphant entry with a special master teacher from Argentina, Susana Miller herself. There were other important tango teachers from all over the country including Cindy Carleton of Gallerie Medici from Michigan and many more.
As the guests enjoyed a delicious gourmet buffet, Daniel and Ramona entertained the audience with a delightful performance followed by a special demonstration by Burak and Maria. The evening was a  real spectable.
We interviewed Romulo and Margo after the event and here is what they had to say:
Ruben: How was the inauguration of your new dance studio?
Romulo: We were pleased with the turnout. Our project is dedicated to our students with the goal of teaching them how to dance well. The studio is beautiful; we tried to make it look like the milongas of Buenos Aires, not only with the music, but also with the decorations and how we positioned the tables. We appreciated the fact that all the students stayed to participate in the milonga. We aim to convey to them the importance of the milonga through learning to dance tango.
Ruben: From our point of view, the show was spectacular; what did you think of it?
Romulo: The performance of the dancers was really unforgetable and we are quite pleased. Daniel and Ramona and Burak and Maria were invited to dance for the occasion. But we were pleasantly surprised that many celebrities came on their own, such as for example, Susana Miller who was brought to our event by Ray Barbosa. You attended the Saturday event, but I want you to know that many people  also came on Friday. The grand opening was really a success.
Ruben: I noticed that the tangueros think highly of you and that the students were really enthusiastic. Do you have any events planned for the future?
Romulo: We are going to participate in the upcoming event "Chicago Tango Week". We are also planning, in collaboration with other dancers, a special milonga for the end of July with many musicians who will be performing live.
Marie: Judging from the wonderful experience that we had Saturday, we know that your special milonga will be an event that no one will want to miss.
Margo: We are very proud of our new studio and we believe our hard work and dedication will bring us the results that we are striving for.
Ruben y Marie: Romulo and Margo,  we are convinced that you will achieve your goals for two reasons: firstly, because you are true professionals and take your responsibilities seriously and secondly because of the humility that characterizes both of you.
