The Geographic Information Science (GIS) sector uses cutting-edge technologies that need to be shared and show-cased to wider communities to deliver solutions to many of South Africa's pressing problems. The role and participation of supporting sectors and technologies such as ICT, surveying, remote sensing and location-based business is acknowledged and welcomed.

The theme, subject matter and issues covered by the GISSA Ukubuzana 2012
conference and exhibition is wide-ranging, with ample opportunity to showcase cutting-edge technologies, applications and solutions.

You are invited to submit and present an academic paper, general paper, short paper or
poster paper at the GISSA Ukubuzana 2012 conference that showcases your work, be it theoretical or practical geo-spatial research and development, technologies, methodologies, applications, projects, implementations or roll-out in the fields of geo-informatics, supporting ICT, surveying, remote sensing, and location-based services and business.

Presenters (i.e. one person per paper presented) may attend the conference on the day of presentation at no cost.

If you are interested in presenting an academic paper, general paper, short paper or poster paper at the GISSA Ukubuzana 2012 conference, please complete and submit this application form without delay, including the paper title, name and brief CV of the principal author, and an abstract/synopsis of the proposed paper for consideration.
