BACKGROUND

SANEA facilitates dialogue covering the supply and use of energy and all the related elements necessary for a sustainable energy future.

Concerns have been expressed about the Medium Term Risk Mitigation Plan for electricity supply that is linked to the national Integrated Resource Plan for Electricity, IRP 2010 - 2030, the affordability of electricity as we move through this decade, and the impact on the social and economic development of South Africa. Now, more than ever, South Africa needs well-informed, proactive and inspirational leadership, and SANEA believes these issues justify holding this Action for Energy event.

With this in mind, SANEA has designed a one-day programme to address these issues facing energy leaders today, with a series of presentations and an open panel discussion to ensure that the audience is brought up to date with the latest thinking. Delegate numbers are restricted to 100 to enable effective audience interaction, networking and information exchange.
