His professional experience includes working at Southern California Edison Company (SCE), the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), National Economic Research Associates (NERA), and most recently, Ventyx, now acquired by ABB. Dr. Sioshansi provides consulting services to the industry, policy makers and regulators on a range of topics including: - Energy efficiency, demand-side management, and demand response
- Smart grid and smart metering initiatives
- Dynamic pricing including implementation of smart prices to smart devices
- Support and integration of renewable energy technologies into the grid

A frequent contributor to energy policy, he serves on the editorial board of Utilities Policy. He has degrees in engineering and economics, including an MSc and PhD in economics from Purdue University.
