SYNOPSIS Now, more than ever, South Africa, and indeed the world, needs well-informed, proactive and inspirational leadership on energy matters.
Building on the success of the 2009 event, Action for Energy 2010 seeks to stimulate dialogue, exchange ideas and catalyse action on critical issues relating to energy security. The programme provides for a few keynote addresses on specific topics followed by extensive interactive discussion by panels of experts in the field. Delegates will be encouraged to engage with the panels to ensure that ideas and opportunities are fully explored. This is not a conference or a seminar with a catchy theme. It is an event at which a deliberately structured series of discussions between experts and delegates will seek to enhance energy security for all South Africans. Panel members are being specifically invited to engage on topics where they are known to have current expertise.
Ironically, while there is a wealth of information available through the internet, numerous publications and many conferences, the breadth and complexity of the energy sector and everyday workload makes it very difficult to keep up to date with the issues facing energy leaders today. The result is narrower focus and insular thinking at the very time when decision making requires the broadest possible context if we are to effectively transition to a new energy based society and economy.
Through this concentrated programme, offered at an affordable price, SANEA is able to assist energy leaders and support staff to keep abreast of current thinking.
This is also not a "volume" event and delegate numbers are purposely restricted to 150. This will ensure that audience interaction and networking, such an important part of information exchange, can be carried out effectively. REGISTRATION AND FURTHER INFORMATION Early bird registration: Registration and payments received by 30 July 2010 will qualify for a 15% discount. Your registration form and payment must reach the SANEA offices by close of business on Friday 30 July 2010.
Please note: There are a limited number of seats; please register without delay.
