Background and rationale

Invitation to participate in:
The Texas Instruments Africa, Middle East and European University Program
The Texas Instruments European University Program was established in 1994, and facilitates the inclusion of leading-edge, real-time DSP, microcontroller (MCU) and analog technologies into academic, research and teaching courses. Now, the European University Program has been extended and more than 1000 universities offering electronics, electrical and/or computer engineering or related courses across Africa, the Middle East and Europe have participated in this program.

Texas Instruments program manager Robert Owen visited 9 of the 13 universities teaching electronics and related disciplines in South Africa this year. The thirst for knowledge and the enthusiasm to engage with leading edge electronic technologies was evident everywhere he went. TI therefore wants to ensure that all post-graduates (Masters project students, PhD students, lab managers, researchers, lecturers, readers and professors) are kept fully informed of the initiatives that TI has to support academia and researchers.

The first essential step is for qualifying persons to register for the programme!
