Africa is developing rapidly and the conference theme "Communications: Accelerating Growth and Development" aims to focus on the role that Communications is playing in this development.
 
IEEE ICC 2010 is dedicated to furthering the understanding of communications areas currently under research and to fostering next-generation theories and practices.
 
This is the first time this major IEEE international conference is being held in South Africa.
