The Corn Belt Seed Conference is powered by Indiana Crop Improvement Association (ICIA) and Indiana Seed Trade Association (ISTA).

The 2010 conference will be held on February 11 & 12 at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites, Keystone.
 
Jay Akridge, Purdue University
 "Breaking Barriers in the Plant Sciences: Perspective, People, Partners"
 
AkridgeJay Akridge is the Dean of Agriculture at Purdue University. In this role, he is responsible for administering academic programs in the College of Agriculture, the Indiana Agricultural Experiment Station, the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service and a number of state regulatory services, including the State Chemist's Office, the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory and the Indiana Wine-Grape Council.

In addition, he is director of the MS-MBA dual degree program in food and agribusiness management, a partnership with the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He remains active in Purdue's Center for Food and Agricultural Business, working with food and agribusiness managers in the center's professional development programs and conducting research on agribusiness management and marketing issues.

                 
 
The Leadership Development Academy is a pre-conference, stand-alone session open to anyone wishing to sharpen their leadership and team building skills.

ISTA Membership  
Indianapolis LogoISTA is the recognized voice of the Indiana seed trade industry. Since its foundation in 1978, the Association has served as the focus point for industry positions on public policy issues which affect our member companies. Historically, Indiana seedsmen have been leaders in many areas of the seed trade. 
 
A membership investment with ISTA should be considered a necessity for any person or firm conducting business in the seed industry. Your active participation is also welcomed and encouraged.
 
ISTA is governed by a 14 person Board of Directors, elected annually from our membership. The Board is responsible for all policy decisions of the Association and directs the Association staff to implement industry policy and programs for the mutual benefit of our members.
