The Columbia Club Foundation will be exhibiting Indiana artists Brock Cagann and Emily Brock in the Hulman-George Library October 1, 2009.
BROCK CAGANN
A child prodigy in Art and Architecture with 3 first place AIA awards in high school competitions before graduating from Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School , Brock started at the U. of Arizona Architecture School, was shifting to an Art emphasis when he was seriously injured in an auto accident. 4 years of surgery/rehab followed. He returned to his artistic beginnings, enrolled at Heron Art School w/ additional classes at the Indianapolis Art Center and won IAC student awards for the past 4 years. Currently a Senior at Herron, Brock's artistic talents are far beyond his years.
Emily Brock Combines complex geometric shapes with elegant poses to create a ying-yang sense of power and fragility. Her work combines the beauty of anatomy and expression via organically industrial and mechanical forms. Emily holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati and continues to refine her skills as Lead for casting at a Cincinnati Fine Arts bronze foundry.
