Flavor of SLO is a Tasty Success

Thank you to everyone - guests and volunteers - who came out for a beautiful day in Mitchell Park with great food and drink from over 20 local vendors, live music by Central Currency and CRITICNUE, and fun events for people of all ages.  We are especially thankful to the organizer, Jessica Sisco, and to all the businesses that were there and that donated raffle items.  To view pictures of the event visit www.flavorofslo.com and be sure to mark your calendar for Sunday, May 30, 2010 for the second annual event.

Take Your Dog To Work Day

Take your dog to work

First celebrated in 1999, Take Your Dog To Work Day was created to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to encourage their adoption from humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescue clubs. This annual event encourages employers to experience the value of pets in their workplace for this one special day to promote pet adoptions. Bring your dog to work on June 26th, and learn more at www.takeyourdog.com. Pictured above: Bodi and Lucille at United Way SLO last year.
