June 2011 Letter Header
A Note From Steve mcShane!
Greetings gardeners!

I think we can all agree that this has been a very unique spring. A late and cooler than normal spring. That just means more time for us to get things ready for summer. I remind myself daily how lucky we are to enjoy the Greater Monterey Bay Area weather. It truly is some of the best gardening weather in the world!

Keeping that in mind, I encourage you to take a look at all McShane's has to offer. Just this month, we have loads of great advice and plenty of specials. We are uniquely suited to be a one stop shop for your landscape. Whether it be design, high quality unique plants or landscape supplies, we deliver and stand behind our products.

I encourage you to look over our free class schedule as well.  Every weekend this month, we have one and in some cases two classes.

Thanks for being a part of the "McShane Family."  I look forward to seeing you here.

Steve McShane

June Gardening Tips

Remember to get out in your garden and deadhead flowering plants. By cutting the fading flowers you help prevent seeding which can make the plant stop producing blooms in some cases.

Bees are so important, so be friendly to bees by planting plants that have lots of pollen and nectar. It is also helpful to have a variety of colors in your garden.

Placing plants together that like the same soil, light, and watering can help you converse resources like water for example and save you time.
